It's the holiday season, doo de doo * Road trip 2021

Well we did it! Our longest road trip to date! We had plane tickets purchased to go to Tucson for Xmas but with Covid on the rise, we decided not to chance it and drove. It was actually a pretty fun adventure. We lucked out with nice weather, no traffic and a fairly easy drive. It was fun to see new parts of the country and the kids did great with plenty of phone time :-) along with some movies, trivia and the excitement of McDonalds for lunch (which we hardly ever do!)

I was so happy to be back at my mom and dad's house. It had been a few years due to COVID and i always feel so at home, so comforted when I am there.

Grandmama didn't disappoint with amazing dinners and Grandbob stole the show with his dancing to Last Xmas (thank you Wham!).

We decorated cookies, the kids drove the golf cart many times, played Bocce and Pickleball, made the trek to Tombstone, watched movies and had a wonderful Xmas day!

The kids even had the joy of stopping on the drive there to spend the night in Truth or Consequences, NM. Word of advice...not necessarily my favorite town but worked for a quick and entertaining overnight!

I LOVE Xmas with my parents and have only missed it once in my life (due to COVID last year). They make every minute special...the talks on the back patio, the gourmet meals, the laughs, the traditions.

so very thankful that we made the trip and extra glad we drive this time for the experience!
