Lylah is officially a teenager and I officially have two teenagers in the house, and I love it!! Lylan rang in her 13th year with a Funfetti pancake breakfast, a surprise in her lunchbox (teen facial after school) and yummy crab leg dinner at Red Lobster (I might have enjoyed it as much as Lylah!).
Then, she had a sleepover with 5 of her friends, although she may have partaken in a bit too much dessert as she ended up sick later in the evening :-(
Regardless, she is starting off 13 with so many wonderful things! She performed her first solo dance in competition and did amazing. She continued to play violin in the school orchestra and she made honor roll, again, at Summit!
She's a sweet and beautiful young lady....she enjoys her quiet time in her room after school, enjoys dance several nights a week, is super duper responsible with school, and likes to maintain a steady yet organized mess in her room, Haha! She enjoys her sweets and fun drinks from Starbucks and Boba, likes to cook on occasion, and definitely enjoys some good power shopping.
She knows the value of lots of blankies on her bed for maximum snuggling and she enjoys time with Charlie on the couch while watching a good show. Popsicles are her favorite right now along with a good episode of Stranger Things or a true story movie.
She seems excited about high school, having experienced some of the highs and lows of middle school but she has proven she is a tough cookie yet also forgiving and kind while navigating social media and all its positives and negatives.
She is smart.....very smart.....and can do anything she puts her mind to...I believe that!! She's a mini me in some ways...everyone says how much we look alike, although I talk way more (too much, per Lylah!). and She looks up to her big brother, whether she will admit it or not. They are very different but so close in years and I genuinley think they look out for and care about each other.
I love that girl more than she knows and am wishing her the best year yet!!
XOXOX
