Every night, I read him stories and then we turn out the light and either talk about the day or sing songs before "nighty night" time. Tonight, he was tired and so we laid quietly in his car bed with his head on his pillow. We both were laying on our sides facing each other and I was quietly singing a song to him.
He was staring at me, reached out his hand to touch my check and he said two words.....
"I'm happy".
Sigh...............that is all I need as a mommy.
He flashed me a grin and I gave him his Eskimo kiss and left him to his sweet dreams.
That is my kind of perfect night.
