Race Day....

Every day lately kind of feels like a race day, between work, home, the Brain Tumor Walk, etc. So I guess every night should feel like I am crossing the finish line with the same adrenaline rush and sense of accomplishment that you would have running a real race.

I will spare you the pictures of my beet red, sweat-streaked face, but suffice it to say I made it across the finish line at the Bolder Boulder today. I didn't break any records, except the one I set for myself, and that was good enough, for today!
Jon and I both had a great time this morning but what made it the best day was when we came home and Brady asked us both if we needed a hug after our "big run". Too cute!
We had a great Memorial Day weekend, with both kids in rare form.......Brady feeding Lylah ice cream from his bowl, Lylah head butting her own head into the floor, Brady telling me he was going to stretch his willy to make it "really long", Lylah fist pumping in delight at just about everything she sees. Brady continues to be a mixture of kind and observant with hints of defiance and excitement. Lylah on the other hand is pure sugar and spice. Coy, playful, giggly with a large helping of crazy lady :-) Wonder who she gets that from?????
I am just enjoying the run, every single day, and look forward to the marathon ahead (although it is going by so fast, it feels like a sprint!!!)
