Uncle Bob's

We just returned from a quick trip to Uncle Bob's House in Austin...and had the best time.
Aunt Kelly and Uncle Bob are the only aunt and uncle the kids have on either side of our family and therefore, their four cousins are the only cousins they will ever have. Seeing them all these past few days made me wish we lived closer and could see each other more often. There is nothing like family....having my own kids only made that more clear for me. Brady is finally at an age where he grasped the cousin concept and I think the term "worship" would be putting it lightly. He was fascinated with all of his cousins, from teenage Chandler to newbie Keira.

We played in the pool, cheered for Karsten at his soccer game, went to Peacock park, ate on the water, and yes, Grandbob, the kids even washed cars.
Karsten and Brady were like peas in a pod for 2 1/2 days. They played so well together and Brady wanted to do everything his older cousin did.
Jon threw the football with Chandler while Hope and I talked in the hammock and we all stayed up talking after the wee ones went to bed.
There was no need for sight-seeing and no interest in a night on the town...I truly just enjoyed watching everyone together, telling stories, playing, laughing and enjoying good conversation over a bowl of cereal! I won't let so much time go by again.....
