Thankful for.....

My mom has always told me when times have been tough, to think of one thing each day that I am thankful for or something that puts a smile on my face. That's not too hard to do these days!
In the past 48 hours, I have laughed to the point of tears and had my heart warmed by the kids words of my little boy.
I took the day off yesterday and decided to take the kids to the open gymnastics session. We had not been since Lylah was a baby and I thought it would be a fun activity on a cold day. Brady was reluctant at first....we had not been in a while and he wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment we got there, both he and Lylah (and I) laughed til our cheeks hurt and ran around til our faces were bright red and we all were sweating! We all bounced on the trampoline, flipped and rolled through the obstacle course and played dodge ball til we were too tired to run anymore. They both were grinning from ear to ear and trying things they had not done before. Even the brief moment of panic, where I lost Lylah in the sponge pit (along with my socks and part of my pants) turned into a fit of giggles when Brady saw the look on my face, trying to wrestle out of that thing.
And tonight, Brady and I were saying our prayers before bed and we talked about what we are thankful for. He was thankful for Turkey, but said he wants to go to the Turkey store and buy turkeys for those who don't have any food. And when they are done with the turkey, he wants to go to the Blueberry pie store to get them some pies.
I could name many things the kids, my hubby, my parents, my friends and my co-workers do or say every day that put a smile on my face and that, at the end of the day, is something to be thankful for!
