Distractions.....
Brady had his annual allergy tests on Monday. Not the most comfortable tests and not the results we had been hoping for. Still very allergic to peanuts and now, strawberries, grasses and molds.
But Brady was so patient and so good and he knew when we were done, there would be great payoff!
We headed straight for Bronco training camp, where we sat for over an hour, watching Peyton Manning work his magic and the rest of the team do their thing. At the end we patiently waited out the crowd, while all of the quarterbacks walked around and signed autographs. I held up Brady as high as I could while he held up his football over his head, waiting for anyone in a Blue jersey to make his way to us. We endured men twice my size with smelly armpits and bad manners, pushing us out of the way so they could get an autograph. We quietly waited at the front of the yellow rope for Brock Osweiler, back up QB, to notice us. And when he was all done, he made his way down to Brady and signed his football, right before he took off running across the field for lunch. He talked to Brady for a few minutes, thanked him for coming, signed his ball and told him he wouldn't have left without signing the "cute kids" ball. It truly made Brady's day.
From there, off to lunch at The Perfect Landing, where we sat two seats away from John Elway and watched airplanes take off and land. At the end of the day, I don't think he even remembered the morning's tests! A really special day for both of us!
