School and all that comes with it!

Well middle school is a game changer for sure. It has been such a learning experience not only for Brady, but for us too.
adjusting to the new schedule, responsibilities, teachers, etc did not come easy for Brady and we have had many, many talks, some consequences and lots of learning but this kid still made the Honor Roll the first two trimesters, after all of that!!!
I am proud of him for making it through, continuing to try and listening/being patient as I continue to try to work with him to help him to succeed.
He's picked up the nickname Bratwurst from some of his soccer buddies and my favorite line as of late was when we were leaving the house in a hurry one day and he told Lylah we needed to "beat the meat!!!!!". Hahaha!
I was laughing so hard and you could tell he had no clue what he had just said. Loved that moment.
he's a super sweet kid, who has his pre-teen moments but he makes it clear he loves his family and his Charlie very much!

and Miss Lylah, she is having a wonderful year in 5th grade. Loving Miss Snowden so very much, and excelling at violin, writting (heartland hero essay winner) and spelling (classroom winner of the bee, participating in the school bee).
She is growing up and branching out....we allowed her to color the tips of her hair green for just a bit to try it out. and her last Daddy Daughter dance had me wishing she could stay in elementary school just a little bit longer!

She's a sweetie at heart and we have our evening snuggles/reading almost every night and I still love that time.
