Jam packed August!

We made sure to pack in as much as we could before school started this year! I can't believe the kids are sophomore and 8th grade. Yikes!

Date day with Daddy!
Date day with Mama (Broncos training camp)
Elitchs, Lylah and Gabby

Lylah performing at Western Welcome Week!

Last days of summer plus Back to school-

Lylah hosted the last summer bash slumber party right before school started.-lthe girls had a blast with lake time, pool fun, movies, pizza and treats. She also finished out the summer with a date day with her daddy cakes. Couple of hours of ziplining in Castle Rock and smoothies…hard to beat! And to cap it off, she and her dance team performed in downtown Littleton for Western Welcome week. She did her solo, among other things, and I am always amazed at how brave and poised she is!

Brady ended the summer months by qualifying for the state swim meet in the backstroke. What a cool experience for him, and us, as grandma and grandad were there to cheer him on too! He really put his all into swimming and was amazing to see him qualify after swimming for less than a year.

And he continued dating Zoe for a bit longer into the beginning of the school year. They made plans every week, spending time at each other’s houses, and going to Top Golf, mini golf and more. But in this case, it wasn’t meant to be. Once school started back up, it was harder for them to see each other and although they went to Columbine’s Homecoming together, Zoe decided it was time to move on later that week. It was super tough for Brady as he really liked her and they had a lot in common, but she also showed an immature side we had not seen before. I know that when the time is right and the person is right, it will all come together for both of our kiddos but for now, I am hopeful they enjoy these years with their friends and family!
