50 is a big one. Not sure why that is the case but it feels significant.
I am truly grateful that I had the opportunity to go out to celebrate with 10 of my neighborhood friends the weekend before.
Some close, others not as close, but it didn't matter. for one night, it was just a group of moms laughing, talking, duck pin bowling and dancing the night away. and I had so much fun.
My birthday itself was tough....my mom has diagnosed with Systemic Scleroderma the night before so was a bit of a quiet bday. I did get a facial mid day, and received flowers from my brother and Kathy along with tons of nice texts, calls and emails.
Gma Barb and papa took lylah and I took a nice dinner at Red Lobster to celebrate too and Jon and Brady made a cake.
I am going to try to find small ways to celebrate the big 50 throughout the year if I can! Grateful for my family and friends more than anything this year!
