Springtime in the Rockies

I love that the kids will still indulge us with a good old Easter Egg hunt. Granted, there may have been money in those eggs to motivate them, but still fun to watch. And of course, you can't have Easter without decorated eggs!

Both of the kids participated in the Columbine Day of Service this year. This was the 25th year since the tragedy and I am glad that they both had the opportunity to give back. Lylah went with her Poms team to an elementary school to make cards with the kids and then went to a nursing home to give them to the senior citizens on the weekend. And for the tennis team, I organized blanket making for Children's Hospital Colorado, which both the boys and girls teams seemed to enjoy!

I had to include a pic of Lylah with her braces off! She was so excited to get them removed and her smile looks amazing! Her patience paid off ;-)

and there's Charlie. The sweetest dog we could have ever hoped for. She is 6 1/2 now which is hard to believe. She is still wild when company first comes over but she settles down pretty quickly and is just so loving and sweet to us. I still love my walks with her, sometimes with one of the kiddos, sometimes with Jon but always love seeing how happy she is on a walk.

And to round out spring, why not a little axe throwing with the Gerlachs. Was fun to have Brady's girlfriend Juliette along for the fun (although she and Brady may need some axe throwing lessons!). I feel like we all had some pretty legit skills though. haha.

One of the spring highlights was for sure the Avs Playoff Game against the Stars. We were fortunate to get some prime seats (3rd row) from the Broncos and enjoyed a double over time nail biter, which unfortunately ended with a loss. But it was a really fun experience to be a part of the crowd and be that close to the ice. And these days, it's hard to find a time when all four of us are in the same spot with all of the activities everyone has had lately. Such a great night!!
