*** I wrote this post back in March of 2020 when the pandemic first hit. Just publishing it now.....with the pandemic still raging on almost two years later. But we are now at least vaccinated and know more than we did then****
I am writing this to you, Brady and Lylah, only because we just don't know what lies ahead these next few months. COVID-19 is a scary virus and we have no idea if or when any of us will get it or how our bodies will react. I am thinking positive as much as I can but also want to be prepared, just in case anything happens to me.
take good care of Charlie. She has become an important part of the family and she will need her walks, playtime, feeding and baths! she loves you both unconditionally and she needs you. I hope that one day you both will also have pets of your own but that you will never forget our first pup!

Keep up the great work at school. you both are so smart and have so many opportunities ahead of you to be and do whatever you want in life. It may take some extra effort without me always bugging you but school is important and I promise you will be happy that you gave it your all once you have graduated and are settled into your career, whatever that may be. you will have to be organized, a good planner and take responsibility but I know you both can do it!
My hope for you both is that you find something you love to do and that makes you happy and proud. so keep your chin up at school and show the world what you can do!
Find ways to be kind to others whenever you can. (remember the notes we made for Jordana and the birthday signs for Ethan McGraw?). Volunteer when you have the time and remember that a little kindness goes such a long way. It's so easy to make someone smile if you just try.
Take good care of yourselves. You know.....drink water 😀, take vitamins, eat your fruits and veggies. I promise I am not making this stuff up....you will feel better overall and have tons more energy.
Same goes with exercise and hobbies.....it's important that you have interests and that you stay active. Exercise is actually a great stress reliever and sometimes a great time to think (or not) and feel good about yourself.
Try to have balance in your lives...screens can consume you but try not to let them. look up and see all the wonderful things that world has to offer outside of the screens.
Don't let others get you down or treat your poorly. Remember you deserve to be treated well and you should treat others well. If you are in a bad relationship that is causing more hurt than good, than move on and know that there will be someone else out there for you that will love you the way you deserve to be loved.
Remember that some friends may come and go and others may be lifelong friendships and that's ok. Family First! Your dad, your grandparents, Uncle Bob/Kelly and the cousins. we don't have a huge family but we have a family that loves you both very much.
Be a helper to dad but also don't be afraid to let him know when you need help. He will be there for you.
and don't let friends pressure you into anything...that's not friendship! Choose friends who are kind and generous and supportive and then you be the same way to them.

Be honest....it matters to others and to yourself.
If you need help with anything in life, don't be afraid to ask.
Save money, invest money, and spend money wisely. It will help you to live a less stressful life as an adult and allow you to always take care of yourself. Don't be dependent on others to take care of you.
Listen to good music, watch funny movies, and read, read, read! Nothing like getting lost in a good book when you have the time.
Take time to travel and plan vacations. it's important to see whatever parts of the world interest you and learn some different cultures.
Make good choices and know that you will make some mistakes too. But be careful as some choices you can't go back and fix or change. Always think before you do. Love yourself, be good to yourself and know that you only get this one life. I hope you have the joy of finding true love, a career that you enjoy or get satisfaction from and a family (little kiddos) of your own. It is truly the best gift that you can get. you two are the greatest gift I have ever received.
Please know that I love you both more than anything in this world, that I am so proud to be your mama and that I will always be watching over you. I hope you will look back at the blog books I have made and remember some of the many good times we have had. Hold onto those memories and know that you will have many more memories ahead in your future. Maybe you can even carry on a tradition or two that we started (ie: our Christmas cookies, report card dinners, night lovings with Charlie, cooking shows, thanksgiving morning activities, hot tubs after skiing, and on and on!)
Be happy! your smiles light up the world!!!!!!!
