Our first major road trip was a success! 8 hours of driving wasn't so bad after all. Pretty scenery and just something new and different. Jackson was so pretty. We stayed in the Teton Village at the base of the ski resort which was super cute and not terribly crowded. Day one included a hike to Taggart Lake in the Tetons and then a trip to the Alpine slide and Roller coaster. We also saw a mama and her two baby moose after the hike. So cool!!!
Then Day Two, we squeezed as much as we possibly could into about 12 hours at Yellowstone. I loved it and I think the kids did too. Very cool to see the geothermal features, the lakes, canyons and wildlife. and then day three, we went on an ATV ride up to some great spots for wildflowers and views of the Tetons.
Great family time and much needed get away. Once we were done there, we headed about an hour south to Thayne to see Gma and Gpa for a day. Had a blast golfing and the kids got to drive the carts.
While I loved everything we saw and appreciated the true beauty of this area, I have to say my favorite part was seeing Brady and Lylah playing in the small hotel pool together and having so much fun with each other. Made my heart melt and was a reminder that away from the friends, school, etc of home, they really do like each other 💓
