Simple things.....

It only takes a simple little statement, an endearing facial expression or a belly laugh to give me something to write about. I actually pulled my old newspaper articles out of storage a few weeks ago, and spent hours reading the stories I used to write as a newspaper reporter. Stories about crime, gangs, religion, politics and entertainment. And now, I write stories in my blog and I choose to write about simple things...the things that are most important to me now and I am loving it. Just to have the chance to chronicle the things that make me smile, cry, laugh and frustrated on a weekly basis is rewarding to me. I know that years from now, I will also pull out all of these precious stories and be so very happy I took a few minutes here and there to write.
And for this week's tidbits:
Brady asked me to tell him a story about my work day last night. Too cute. He also has been so polite with his manners, asking if I would like to share some of his favorite foods (ie: avocados) and clearing his dishes.Of course, we've also had drama.....#2 on the potty kind of drama. He doesn't like it, doesn't want to do it and is downright afraid to go there. Assuming we will survive the groans, moans, cries and messes and look back and laugh?!?!

As for the princess, when I can see her face through the hair in her eyes, she is too darn cute. She started to say night night and boo-boo today and stands at the fridge dooring, shouting mick, mick, mick when she wants a drink. She learned "no" this week, which isn't really working in my favor! She continues to have a love/hate relationship with Brady but the love part is so adorable, it's easy to overlook the squabbles.
I have been able to take some extra days off of work this summer and am loving the extra time. We went to Belleview Park with Grandmama and rode the train and played in the water. Good times/good memories and good company.
