January, oh January, where have you gone?

I registered Brady for Kindergarten....class of 2025.....I feel old..... and yet somehow I was comforted when I walked out of Blue Heron with a kindergarten packet in hand by the fact that Brady will always be my little boy, so precious, my first born sweety.
He has become a Basketball Veteran, now in his 3rd season and loving it. He gets up extra early on game days, gets on his jersey and is ready to get out the door before we are even up.
And believe it or not, the month of Dec and January produced a shiny new Denver Bronco fan. Brady doesn't just like the Broncos because mom and dad do. He truly loves watching the game, playing catch, watching the score, asking about the plays. Pretty precious to watch dad and Brady cheer on our team.

And sweet Lylah....so smart and still sassy. She is so good at games...board games, card games, memory games, computer games. I can't keep up.....and kinda want to win at something soon!
She started Gymnastics this month, and digs it. At the same time, she also started carrying a purse and rubbing on mounds of chapstick at a time, pretending it is lipstick. It has begun!
She was also the social butterfly this month, with four birthday parties to attend. We have learned that she would prefer to "trampoline" than engage in social chatter though. You can find her camped out at the trampoline at any birthday gym event. Clearly, she takes after her dad and not me.

Speaking of Trampolines and Birthday parties....Jon has been in a walking cast for the past week, since he tore a ligament and chipped bones in his foot at one of Lylah's friend's bday parties. Jumpstreet will forever be remembered as the place where daddy hurt his foot on the tramp, became nauseous, stuck it out, and later drove himself to the ER. It's been tough on Jon to not be his usual active self, but he has been patient and tough and will be healed up soon!

it's been a crazy, fun, challenging, and rewarding start to the year. My night ended with my two peanuts snuggled up on the couch. brady told me that it was a special night because I decided to read just one more book than usual..........pretty cool, right?
