5805 South Harlan St

Hi my blog friend! It's been a while since I last posted. It's been a crazy few months at the Dobson house. We had a great Thanksgiving at the house.....20 people crammed into our living room and we had a blast. Good food, family and friends.
And then the Holiday rush was on! Shopping, baking, wrapping, decorating, listening to Xmas tunes, etc.
Brady wrapped up a fun basketball season with lots of hoops, Lylah continues to love dance and is doing great at swimming. Both kids have already been up skiing two times and are doing fantastic....getting on and off the lifts, skiing greens with ease and having a great time (love doing the hills with Lylah as she giggles the whole way down, hands over her head!).
I had a great holiday break with the kids....two full weeks off of work. We were able to do fun activities like ice skating, bowling, etc and visit with Grandmama and Grandbob and Grandma Barb and Papa.
Santa was great to the kids, Bronco jerseys and all.
The kids have been having a blast playing together...they are good buddies. They make believe and make forts, play hide and seek and take care of their "pets".  They have been enjoying play dates and dinners with friends and celebrated the New Year with three of our favorite families to spend time with.
And in this hectic end of year time, we decided to put our house on the market and look for a different floor plan to "spread our wings". Tons of house showings and three contracts later, it looks like we will be moving to our new home on Jay street in two days.
It has been a whirlwind to get packed and everything ready for the move but the kids have been great and seem excited for their new space.
BUT....I have no doubt we will miss our Harlan Home. We have so many amazing memories here....the kids did their "first everything" here so far....first steps, first birthdays, first words, first teeth, first boo-boo, first times in the snow.....holidays, gatherings, parties.....and the views....those beautiful mountain views that sold us on this house in the first place. I will never forget looking out the window at the hot air balloons over the Rockies or the clouds rolling in for the big storm.
And the 4th of July.....it won't be the same anywhere else.
But it is time for the 5805 Chapter to close and the new one to begin.....in the same wonderful neighborhood with the same great friends and schools but a different place to rest our head and call home.
No matter.....as long as we are together and my babies and hubby are there to cuddle, it will all be ok!
I hope the kids have memories of this place, even if just a few, because it will always be special to me!
Bye Bye Harlan!
