So very, very proud of both Brady and Lylah or making it to their school spelling bee competition. Kids from all of the school were selected from their classes based on their performance in class and we were the only parents there to have two kids in the competition.

Both kids were so confident and cool, brave and strong. It's hard to stand up in front of all of your classmates, teachers and parents and keep calm and they both were pros. This was Lylah's first year to be eligible and she made it to the third round. What a smart, beautiful lady she was up there! So very proud.
And Brady was in it for his third year. First two years, he didn't have great luck but low and behold, he made it to the final round and came in second place. We were all on the edge of our seats and loved that there were many of our parent group friends there to see both our kids shine!
It was such a special day for me (I did win my 6th grade spelling bee, you know :-) but brought back my own childhood memories as well as reminded me how fast the kids are growing up and how very smart and just plain awesome they both are.
I will never forget this day!!!
