Love, Love. Love our family adventures together. We picked Seattle this fall as it's somewhere I have never been, it was an easy flight and perfect time of year weather wise.
We stayed right in the city and loved that the place was so close to the water and activities, sights.
Pike Place market was fantastic. Loved seeing all of the fresh seafood and vendors and then of course we had to stop by the gum wall, because Daddy said so. Lylah and I were a bit grossed out but it is an interesting spectacle.
We took a ferry out to an island to tour an old battleship which the kids loved and ate TONS of great seafood.....the crab pot was fantastic....loads of seafood dumped on the tables. we did a great hike along the ocean (poor dead baby seal!) and toured the Olympic Park sculptures. and we hit the Boeing factory which was super cool to see how airplanes are made.
On the last day, we went to the Pop Culture Museum which I think the kids enjoyed seeing and then made the Space Needle our last stop. That thing sure is high up! Lylah was not a big fan so we took a quick peek at the top and made our way down but the boys hung out and enjoyed the views for a bit.
While we all agreed we don't want to live in a city (downtown), it was a great way to see a new place in a short amount of time and be close to it all.
