2016 Summer Camp Review, by Brady and Lylah Dobson

This summer, I decided to sign up the kids for a variety of camps so that they would not get bored and could try some new experience, some with their friends and some on their own.
I love this summer because there are weeks with Jon and I , a week in Austin, time with multiple sets of grandparents, and some really cool and unique camps.

week 1:

Air Force Academy Basketball Camp:
Brady gives it two thumbs up, says it was "fun, exciting, new friends and tiring in a good way"

Lylah: Grandmama and Grandbob Camp: adventures, discovered a HORSE allergy! Oh no!! Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, cooking with Gma, crafts, mini golf, and more.

Week 2:

Jeffco Outdoor Camp (CSU)
Brady says "Hard working, good nature experience, organized, and you might get scratched up a bit"

Audience of One Acting/Song/Dance camp:
Lylah says "Fun, Scary (before I did the show), Very Very Good, favorite part was doing the show (Aristocats).

Week 3:

Brady and Lylah at Colorado Academy:
Brady: Tennis/Chess/Digital Music and Blue camp....Mom's perspective: "This camp was amazing! B. came home so excited to play family tennis games and take us on in chess. He learned a ton about both games and it was so fun to see him get so excited. But digital music took the cake. B. learned how to create his own CD via a computer program and we all were able to rock out to his awesome jams. New friends were made and old ones you now know better.

Lylah: Arty Party/Cheerleading/Orange Camp and Crafty Critters-
Mom's perspective: "A-W-E-S-O-M-E....that was the first cheer Lylah ever learned and it was super cute. and oh how this girl loves to craft and create. Arty Party and Crafty Critters were bit hits. I was super proud of Lu-Lu for going to a new camp with no friends at the beginning and coming out with new friends and interests. These past few weeks of camp have been so great for you Lylah....seeing you do acting camp and now CA.....so super proud and excited for you and what lies ahead!

Week 4:
Brady: STEM Camp : GaGa Ball (good exercise, rough, really fun), archery, rock climbing, Elephant toothpaste,

Lylah/Colorado Academy (Baking, Camp Transylvania, Gymnastics
"Fun, Loved it, Favorite Recipe so far: Dove Crescent Rolls

and the last few weeks of Summer....DU Camp and Foothills Sports for Brady, Foothills Art and Zoo camp for Lylah....all pretty much a thumbs down.

The grand prize winners: CA, Audience of One and AFA camp!
Another great summer has gone by....we had such a great time and I am sad that it is over but excited for the kids to experience their new grades (2nd and 4th!)
