Happy Bday sweet boy! How do you get sweeter, cooler and cuter to me every day??
you are smart and kind, competitive and loving.
Who are you as a 9 year old??? well you are starting off your 9th year with a passion for books (Harry Potter!) and a love for sports (mainly soccer and football, with some basketball and skiing right now)
you throw out some of the most grown up phrases and I love it. You are learning new things...I helped your light your very first (and somewhat small) firecracker this year and you have many more questions about "life" in general (Mom...what's alcohol do?)
You are super laid back and polite and kind and you express your love for your family often and with enthusiasm....it's the best thing ever!
Sure you like to show off a bit with your friends and you can't stand losing, but that's part of being a boy and what makes you, well....you!
You play well with your sister (lego mansions and "hotel") until one of you is "wrong" and you end up fighting.
But oh that girl loves you! you are very patient with her and more gentle than most big brothers I know.
You always ask if we are alright if we are hurt and you still call me momma!!!
Yet you are becoming more independent and I have no doubt you will push the envelope at times but that's ok!
You are learning to defend yourself but not be a jerk, try new things that may not always work out, and brush your hair because you want to look good :-)
I have loved you from the minute you were growing in my belly and I will love you until I am no longer on this earth and beyond.
